SUCCESSFUL STORIES AND EXAMPLES
When Keiran came to us, he was unemployed and could not get into work despite his best efforts. He had been playing at Celtic since the age of nine but in 2011 he was released from the club. On leaving the club, he had no working experience or relevant qualifications for the roles that he was applying for.
He’s been working with Spohrt Training to change his mindset and improve his chances of getting a job. Keiran felt that playing for Celtic simply hadn’t equipped him for life after football and he was starting from scratch. We showed him that this was not the case and that he had skills that many employers would be looking out for.
After being rejected by football, it can be a hard task to once again find your footing and Growth Mindset. Keiran never anticipated that he would be dropped by the team but this is the sad reality for most players. He’s gained a great amount of perspective on the industry and has been speaking out on the issue.
Keiran urges other players to start preparing before they have to, as it’s never too early. He described the process as crushing his dream and leaving him without a hope. Spohrt Training has given him his confidence back once again and are working alongside Keiran to find a fitting role.
